At this early point in our squirrel parenting career we hadn't yet learned to put nipples on the end of the feeding syringes. Duh!
Not using nipples on the feeding syringes tends to cause squiggly squirming baby squirrel syndrome, leading to formula all over the squirrel, and the feeder too.
